This is a conundrum, a Memento Mori Mirror, we think it has been embellished over the years, please check out the plinth and base where the gold etc look re-applied, so therefore priced to reflect this.
A Memento Mori Mirror was made to, while we looked at ourselves through it, remind us to “Remember you must die”.
Not as bad as it sound’s it was a way to remind us to celebrate our lives and make more of their time on earth, to live life to the full.
Standing 35cm tall, 15cm wide and the mirror on its own 4.5cm wide.
